This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) describes the rules, responsibilities, and expectations for all individuals who access or use the SEL DEVELO, Inc. (“SEL DEVELO,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) Services, including the Growth Lab™ platform, websites, mobile applications, and related products (collectively, the “Services”).
Use of the Services is subject to this AUP, the Terms of Service, and the Privacy Policy. Schools, districts, educators, parents, and students are expected to comply with this AUP at all times.
1. Purpose
The purpose of this AUP is to:

ensure safe, respectful, and lawful use of the Services
-
protect users, including minors, from harm or inappropriate content
-
maintain a secure and reliable learning environment
-
outline responsibilities and prohibited activities
This AUP applies to all users, including:

Students
-
Teachers
-
School or District Administrators
-
Parents or Legal Guardians
-
Independent users (where permitted)
2. User Responsibilities
All users agree to:
-
use the Services only for lawful, educational, and authorized purposes
-
follow school or district technology policies in addition to this AUP
-
provide accurate information when creating or using accounts
-
protect account credentials and never share passwords
-
use the Services in ways that are respectful and appropriate
-
report safety concerns, misuse, or security issues to a teacher or administrator
Educators and administrators are responsible for supervising student use and ensuring compliance with school technology and safety requirements.
3. Prohibited Activities
Users may not, under any circumstances, use the Services to:
a. Harm or Endanger Others
-
bully, harass, intimidate, or threaten others
-
engage in hateful, abusive, or discriminatory behavior
-
share violent, explicit, or inappropriate content
-
encourage self-harm or harm to others
b. Misuse the Platform
-
attempt to bypass, disable, or defeat security features
-
disrupt, overload, or interfere with platform functionality
-
misrepresent identity or impersonate another person
-
upload or share harmful files (malware, viruses, corrupted data)
-
access areas of the platform or data not intended for you
c. Violate Privacy or Confidentiality
-
attempt to access Student Education Records without authorization
-
share or disclose another user’s personal information
-
screenshot, record, or download content in ways not permitted by a school or by SEL DEVELO
-
collect information about other users in unauthorized ways
d. Engage in Academic or Behavioral Misconduct
-
cheat, copy, falsify, or manipulate Growth Lab activities or progress
-
use the platform to obtain answers dishonestly
-
artificially inflate streaks, XP, or achievements
e. Use the Services for Non-Educational or Commercial Purposes
-
advertise or promote products
-
sell or solicit goods or services
-
post spam, scams, or unauthorized promotional content
f. Engage in Illegal or Unsafe Behavior
-
violate copyright or intellectual property laws
-
access or distribute illegal content
-
use the Services in violation of local, state, or federal laws
4. Student-Specific Expectations
Students must:
-
follow teacher or school rules when using the Services
-
use respectful language and behavior
-
complete activities honestly
-
keep login information private
-
report inappropriate content or safety concerns to a trusted adult
Students must not attempt to interact with strangers, share personal contact information, or access features not intended for student use.
5. Educator, Parent, and Administrator Responsibilities
Adults using the Services agree to:
-
supervise and guide student use
-
maintain the confidentiality of Student Education Records
-
ensure students do not misuse the platform
-
promptly report security or privacy concerns
-
use account access only for legitimate educational purposes
Administrators must ensure appropriate permissions, rosters, and account access rights are properly configured.
6. Account Security and Integrity
All users agree not to:
-
share passwords or allow unauthorized access
-
attempt to access another user’s account
-
create false accounts or identities
-
use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Services
Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their login credentials.
7. Safety & Reporting
SEL DEVELO is committed to a safe educational environment. Users must report concerns such as:
-
cyberbullying
-
harassment or threats
-
inappropriate behavior
-
suspicious account activity
-
technical vulnerabilities
-
access concerns or misuse

8. Consequences for Violations
Violations of this AUP may result in:
-
warnings or temporary restrictions
-
suspension or termination of account access
-
notification to the school or district
-
removal of inappropriate content
-
required deletion or correction of shared materials
Severe or repeated violations may result in termination of access consistent with the Terms of Service. Schools and districts retain authority to implement additional disciplinary actions in accordance with their policies.
9. Changes to This AUP
SEL DEVELO may update this AUP periodically to reflect changes in our Services, safety practices, or applicable laws. Updates will be published here, and the “Last Revised” date will be updated accordingly.
