SEL DEVELO, Inc. is committed to protecting children’s privacy online and ensuring full compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”). This page outlines SEL DEVELO’s commitments and practices for meeting or exceeding COPPA requirements.

COPPA Direct Notice

Dear K–12 School,

As part of SEL DEVELO, Inc.’s (“SEL DEVELO”) compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”), we are required to provide this notice to each K–12 school (“School”) that uses the Growth Lab™ platform or any related SEL DEVELO products or services (“Services”). This notice describes how SEL DEVELO collects, uses, and discloses personal information from students under the age of 13 (“Child” or “Children”).

Your School’s consent, on behalf of Children’s parents or guardians, is required for SEL DEVELO’s collection, use, and disclosure of personal information from Children. SEL DEVELO will not collect, use, or disclose any personal information from Children without your School’s authorization. This Direct Notice is provided to help ensure that your School understands what personal information SEL DEVELO collects from Children under age 13, how we use that information, and the purposes for which it is processed.

School Consent (Required by COPPA)

By agreeing to our Terms of Service and using SEL DEVELO Services, the School provides consent, on behalf of its Child students’ parents or guardians, to SEL DEVELO’s collection, use, and disclosure of personal information from and about Children through Services.

Parents retain all rights under COPPA to review, access, and request deletion of their Child’s personal information. SEL DEVELO will follow the direction of the School in responding to such parent requests.

More About Consent and Parent Requests

SEL DEVELO relies on the School to obtain consent from parents.
