SEL DEVELO, Inc. is committed to protecting student privacy and maintaining full compliance with all applicable U.S. student data privacy laws, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (“FERPA”). This page provides an overview of SEL DEVELO’s FERPA-aligned practices.

FERPA Compliance

SEL DEVELO, Inc. complies fully with FERPA. When authorized by a School, district, or educational institution, SEL DEVELO acts as a School Official with a legitimate educational interest. This means:

  • SEL DEVELO processes Student Education Records only to provide and improve the Growth Lab™ platform and related educational services.

  • All Student Education Records remain under School ownership and control.

  • SEL DEVELO does not sell, share, or use Student Education Records for advertising or targeted behavioral profiling.

  • SEL DEVELO discloses Student Education Records only to authorized School personnel or approved service providers (subprocessors) operating under written contracts that require strict confidentiality and security.

  • Schools and parents retain all rights under FERPA, including access, correction, and deletion of Student Education Records.

  • SEL DEVELO meets or exceeds FERPA’s security and data-protection requirements, including encryption, access controls, audit logs, and restricted data processing.
