COPPA Compliance

SEL DEVELO, Inc. complies fully with COPPA and collects only the minimum information necessary to provide the Growth Lab™ platform and related educational services.

When SEL DEVELO is used in a school setting, the School or district may provide consent on behalf of parents, consistent with COPPA’s “School Consent” mechanism. In these cases, SEL DEVELO processes Children’s information solely for authorized educational purposes and never for advertising, profiling, or commercial gain.

When SEL DEVELO is used outside of a School context (e.g., family or individual Child accounts), SEL DEVELO obtains verified parental consent directly from the parent or legal guardian before collecting personal information from Children under 13.

Under COPPA, SEL DEVELO adheres to the following principles:

• We do not collect personal information from children under 13 without verified parental consent or verified School authorization.

• We do not sell Children’s information or use it for targeted, behavioral, or interest-based advertising.

• We collect only what is needed to create Child accounts, personalize learning progress, and operate the Growth Lab™ platform.

• No third-party advertising networks, behavioral tracking, or retargeting technologies are used on student experiences.

• Parents and Schools may review, update, retrieve, or delete a Child’s information at any time.

• Data is encrypted in transit and at rest and protected with industry-standard security measures.

• We share Children’s information only with service providers operating under written confidentiality and data-protection agreements.

• SEL DEVELO maintains a strict data-minimization policy and retains Children’s information only for as long as the account remains active or as required by law.
